Buying software

Every listing is made by an independent builder, not by us. The listing says what the software does, what it costs, how you get it and what you are allowed to do with it. Many listings have a live demo, so try it before you buy.

Some listings are monthly services (SaaS). You sign up and pay on the seller's own website, and the seller's terms, billing, cancellations and refunds apply. The rest of this page is about software you buy once here.

You pay by card at checkout. Stripe handles the payment. We never see your full card number. Your purchases are listed under My purchases.

How we review listings

We read every listing before buyers can see it, and we read every change a seller makes to a live listing. We check that the listing is clear and that the price and terms are stated. A review does not mean we tested every feature or that the software is right for your business. Try the demo and ask the seller questions first.

Licenses and ownership

Each seller says on the listing what buyers can do with the software, under License and ownership. That is what you get, and a copy is kept with your order under My purchases. Buying software does not give you the copyright unless the listing says so.

The listing also says how you get the software. Some you download and install on your computer. Some you put on your own web hosting. Listings marked Source code give you the full program files, so a tech person can change them if the license allows it.

Support from the seller

The seller, not this marketplace, gives help with the software. Each listing says what help is included under Support from the seller. If a seller stops answering within your refund window, ask for a refund from My purchases and tell us what happened.

Updates

Each listing says how the seller handles bug fixes and new versions, and for how long, under Updates. If a listing does not say, ask the seller before you buy.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of buying. Go to My purchases, choose the order and tell us why. Read the refund policy for the details. For monthly services (SaaS), ask the seller.

Selling

Builders can list software they made. There is no monthly fee. We keep 1% of each sale, and Stripe's card fee comes out of the seller's share. Sellers are paid 14 days after each sale, once any refund request is settled. Read Sell your software to get started.
