What we are

Marketplace is a marketplace. Independent builders list software they made, and buyers buy it from them. We run the site, review listings and handle payments. We do not make the software sold here.

Your account

You need an account to buy or sell. Use a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Buying

These points cover software you buy once on this site. Monthly services (SaaS) are bought on the seller's own website under the seller's terms.

• You buy the software from the seller. The listing is the seller's description of what you get.
• You get the rights the seller describes under License and ownership. Buying does not give you the copyright unless the seller says so.
• Support and updates come from the seller, as the listing describes.
• You can ask for a refund within 14 days. See the refund policy.

Selling

• You can only list software you made or have the right to sell.
• Your listing must be accurate. Say plainly what the software does, how buyers get it, what they may do with it, and what support and updates you give.
• We review every listing and every change before buyers see it. We can turn down or hide a listing.
• We keep 1% of each sale. Stripe's card fee also comes out of your share.
• We pay your share through Stripe 14 days after each sale. If the buyer asks for a refund in that time, we hold your share until we decide. If we refund the buyer, you are not paid for that sale.
• You keep the copyright to your software unless your listing says otherwise.

Things you may not do

• List software that contains anything harmful, or that you do not have the right to sell.
• Post false claims, fake reviews or misleading prices.
• Try to get around our checkout to avoid fees.
• Try to break into the site or other people's accounts.

Limits

We review listings, but we do not test every feature or promise that software will work for your business. Try the demo and ask the seller questions before you buy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the bottom shows the last change.
